What does it cost to build an app like Uber?
Sample range · freelance
$63k–$147k
An agency would be $113k–$200k for the same scope. This is a pre-computed sample, not your estimate. Your version is probably smaller.
Where the money goes
Why this kind of app is expensive
Three things make ride-hailing cost more than it looks. You are building two apps, not one: the rider's and the driver's, and they have to agree at every moment. Location has to be live, which means a map, a feed of driver positions and a fare that changes as the route does.
And the money moves in two directions, so you are paying drivers as well as charging riders, with the identity checks that come with it.
The cheapest honest version of this idea is one city, one vehicle type, card-only, no driver ratings at launch. That lands nearer $53k–$122k.
