What we store, who else sees it, and how to delete it
A specific list rather than a generic one. You pasted your idea into a text box, so you are owed a straight answer about where it went.
Who holds it
Canarlo Ltd is the data controller
TrueBallpark is operated by Canarlo Ltd, Airedale House, 423 Kirkstall Road, Burley, Leeds, LS4 2EW. For anything on this page — a copy of your data, a correction, a deletion — email hello@canarlo.com. Database records live in a Supabase project hosted in London (eu-west-2).
What we store
Your idea, your answers, and your email if you give it
When you ask for an estimate we store the text of your idea, the answers you give to our questions, any notes you add, the scope you confirmed, and the estimate we produced. That is the product: without it there is nothing to show you and nothing to come back to.
An email address is optional for a free estimate and required at checkout, because Stripe needs somewhere to send a receipt and we need somewhere to send your documents. If you buy, we also store which tier you bought, when you paid, and whether delivery succeeded.
We store your IP address for a short period, in plain form, to stop one person submitting hundreds of ideas and running up our model costs. Those records expire automatically — an hour for the hourly limit, a day for the daily one — and are deleted when they expire. We do not use them for anything else.
We do not ask for your name, your address, your phone number, or your card details. Card details go to Stripe and never touch our servers.
Who else sees it
Five processors, and what each one gets
Anthropic receives the text of your idea and your answers, because a language model is what turns them into a specification. Anthropic processes it to return a result and does not train on it. If your idea is confidential to the point that this is unacceptable, do not paste it here.
Stripe receives your email address and the amount, and handles the payment. Resend receives your email address and the documents, and sends them. Supabase stores the records. Vercel hosts the site and sees the ordinary request data any web host sees.
Google Analytics receives anonymous usage data: pages viewed, roughly where in the world you are, and which steps of the form you reached. We use it to find out where people give up. It is not joined to your idea or your email.
Nobody buys this data from us, because we do not sell it. We do not run advertising pixels and we are not tracking you across other websites.
How long
Kept while it is useful, deleted on request
Estimates and purchases are kept indefinitely so you can come back to an estimate you made months ago and so we have a record of what we sold. Rate-limit records expire within a day. Analytics follows Google's retention settings.
Ask and we will delete your records. Email hello@canarlo.com from the address you used, or tell us the estimate link, and we will erase the submission, the answers and the purchase record. The only thing that survives is what we must keep for accounting — the fact that a payment of a given amount happened — which UK tax law requires us to hold for six years.
Your rights
Access, correction, erasure, objection, complaint
Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of what we hold, have it corrected, have it erased, or object to our using it. One email to hello@canarlo.com is the whole process; we will reply within a month and normally much sooner. There is no charge.
Our basis for storing your idea and producing an estimate is that you asked us to — it is necessary to provide what you requested. Our basis for the IP records is our legitimate interest in not being bankrupted by automated abuse. Our basis for analytics is your consent, which you can withdraw by blocking it in your browser.
If we handle a request badly you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would rather you emailed us first and gave us the chance to fix it.
