What you are buying, and how to get your money back

TrueBallpark is a product of Canarlo Ltd, a software studio registered in England, at Airedale House, 423 Kirkstall Road, Burley, Leeds, LS4 2EW. Payments are taken in the name of that company. Using the site means you accept what is written here. If something below is a problem for you, do not buy — email us instead and say so.

The free tier gives you a module list and a cost range. The paid tiers add a written specification and, at the higher tier, an execution pack: a product requirements document, an architecture note, a data model, acceptance criteria, a build order and agent instruction files. Everything is a document. Nothing on this site is software development work, and buying does not engage anyone to build your product.

Every figure is a benchmark derived from published market rates and a sized ticket list. It is not a quote, not a tender, and not a promise that any developer will work at that price. A real quote comes from a real developer looking at your real circumstances. We say how the numbers are built, and what they leave out, on the methodology page.

You own the documents we produce for you and may do anything you like with them, including giving them to a developer, an agency, or a competitor of ours. We claim no rights over your idea and will not pass it to anyone.

Email hello@canarlo.com with the reply you received from the developer and we will refund you in full. You do not need to argue the point with us and there is no time limit written into this promise. We would rather return the money than keep it from someone it did not help.

Separately, and regardless of the above, you can ask for a refund for any reason within 14 days of purchase. Since the product is a document delivered immediately, that is a promise we are choosing to make rather than one the law forces on us.

Refunds go back to the card you paid with, through Stripe, and usually land within five to ten working days depending on your bank. We do not charge a fee for processing one.

The specification is generated after payment and emailed to you, usually within minutes and in the worst case within the hour. The higher tier also gets a hosted page you can forward to a developer. If generation fails, our systems retry it automatically and alert us; if it still has not arrived after an hour, email us and we will either deliver it or refund you.

Documents are generated by a language model working from the scope you confirmed. That means two runs on the same idea will not produce byte-identical documents, and it means mistakes are possible. We check the output against a set of consistency rules before it is sent, and the refund promise above exists precisely because that checking is not perfect.

Build decisions are yours. If you spend money on the basis of a range we gave you and the real cost differs, that difference is not something we can be liable for — which is the whole reason we publish our method and our error bars rather than a single confident number.

Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are buying as a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected by anything on this page. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
